Anchor was one of the strongest defenseive badges in 2K23 and that remains the same for 24. With close shots being weaker this year, you don't really need to invest too much into the badge

Anchor Badge Description
Anchor increases a player's ability to block shots and protect the rim at a high level
Guards
None
Guards are generally too small to get the badge
Wings
Bronze
Decent investment but worth it if you plan on getting any stops in the paint
Bigs
Silver - Gold
HoF is too expensive to get. Bronze is solid, but you will want block/interior for higher chasedown/post defense anyway
Anchor Test Details
For this test we tried hands up defense against close shots and recorded the contest percentage. We had the defender in good position. We also tests how often the different badge levels could bring dunkers our of contact dunks.
Anchor Test Results
For standard contests, bronze was a great value, but for stopping contact dunks, HoF is way above the others.
