Best 6'6 Build in 2K23

Video Transcript:
I'm going to start off by stating the obvious here and say that these six six builds are definitely not the meta but they do offer a unique attribute set for a player of this height for this build guide I've made a base template that has all the tools to be effective on both ends of the floor and it also gets tier 3 badges in every category with a ton of attributes left over to make this build exactly the way you want it I'm gonna go through each attribute and why I chose it and then at the end I'll show you different types of six six builds that I made to fit any playstyle as you can see I gave my build 92 ball handle which is the tallest height you can get the curry slot and try and Escape but I've been grinding this build and playing with it for the past week now so I could get a feel for these Badges and attributes and I think I have a good grasp on what works well and what doesn't now of course we all know the six nines and six eighths reign supreme but if you were ever looking to switch it up to a non-meta build and still be able to go crazy the 66 might be the height to do it at the mixture of speed acceleration and solid height can make this build a nightmare to guard which is why we're gearing this template to be more suited for guard play but at the end of the video like I said I'll show you different builds for all play Styles so let's get right into it foreign [Music] this build would ideally be the point guard or shooting guard whatever your preference is and then the body settings for this build are going to be six six 188 Pounds for the maximum expand of seven three you can lower the wingspan if you want more shooting like a 7 1 wingspan would be good for the gold Asian 3 cut off or 610 for Golden in this range but for now we're going to keep it maxed for the best possible defense starting with close shot we have a 67 and we went with 67 mainly for the badge points which hasn't unlocked at 66 but increasing it by just one more unlocks bronze pass switch which can be useful and makes for a nice to have option next we have driving lamp and we went with a minimum of 76 for the badge Point as well but you also unlock Silver acrobat at this threshold and a running test on that badge now and you can expect that video and those exact results sometime soon but at 77 Drive-In lab you can unlock Silver Fearless finisher if you wanted but in our test sober was only minor upgrade over the bronze level so I'm opting to save those points in our Baseline 80 driving lab is also a good threshold for the good layup packages like Levine and you also get Hall of Fame Giant Slayer but you won't be able to unlock another badge point until 82 layup so if you are more of a layered person I would actually suggest you at least go for the 84 to get gold acrobat but this 76 is the Baseline we're going with for now which brings me to our driving dunk which will be our most effective way to attack the rim we went with an 80 driving dunk for the quick drops off one dunk package and this rating also unlocks my favorite reverse package and Baseline clutch reverses Off 2 which is nearly unblockable we're not touching standing dunk but if you wanted to be at least capable down there I would go for a 45 to unlock both of the low-level standing dunk packages and I don't often look to score in the post so I'm going to skip post control for now but if you were to make that a focus you can use those leftover attributes to get an 87 post control which is good enough to unlock all the Hall of Fame post badges that you need now if you decide not to spend any more attributes into finishing this will be all you need to be solid now keep in mind and this is very important but be sure to spend at least two of your four or more extra badge points to unlock your silver tier 3 badges which is what I did to get silver Limitless takeoff that's going to be a crucial badge to help you get your dunks off so in total you'll need 16 finishing badges which is actually a decent amount and is more than enough for this Baseline layout I would core silver Limitless take off and put on something like bronze slither and then you can still equip acrobat Fearless finisher and giant slayer so that's the minimum I would go for and I would not go any lower than that which takes us to our next category which is shooting we're going straight to three point here and setting this to an 83 and 83 rating is more than enough to be a good shooter in 2K 23 and it's a great spot in general because it unlocks crucial badges like silver agent 3 which has a crazy boost once you get past the bronze level our test show a 5 boost and make percentage over the bronze level which is the biggest jump of any badge level making this a very effective threshold for your three-point rating not to mention you also unlock Hall of Fame space Creator which can be extremely deadly for anybody who has a shot Creator play style we also tested this badge in the Hall of Fame level shows a significant boost even over the gold level which makes it well worth equipping if you take any type of step back shots I know a lot of people like the 85 three-point rating for the silver Limitless range and that can also be a good threshold but we're going with 83 just because of the value you get from it the mid-range goes to a six day by default and you can unlock one more extra badge Point by bumping this to a 69 and these mid-range shots are typically easy to hit if you're wide open so we're going to leave it here for a baseline but keep in mind that if you don't increase your three-point rating from this Baseline threshold or you just want more mid-range in general you can put it to at least an 84 which will unlock gold blinders which can be extremely effective if you know how to navigate the mid-range and three-point area and lastly we have a 60 free throw which is easily greenable but if you want it to be even more sure I would go for a Max of around 70. but all in all we have 17 shooting Badges and honestly that's not bad as there's no tier one badge that I absolutely need the badges I want are green machine space Creator and maybe catch and shoot depending on the play style and you can even save a badge point on catch and shoot if you want to go to Silver as gold only shows a minor upgrade on the edges of the green window now it obviously core silver agent 3 and then there's still room to equip something like bronze amp or clutch shooter or whatever else you want so as a baseline your shooting is still looking pretty solid even if you didn't want to put any more attributes in now next we have our playmaking of course you want at least 75 pass accuracy for LeBron pass style but you won't unlock the patch point until 78 which is where we'll keep our Baseline now if you're playing more of a PG I would recommend setting this to at least an 85 but pass accuracy is insanely expensive this year which means you might have to sacrifice something on your build for ball handle we set it to an 89 which unlocks Hall of Fame quick first step and honestly that's all you need to be really quick with the ball for my variation of the build I went with a 92 ball handle to unlock the Trae young and Curry size up escapes which makes the 6-6 the tallest height you can get those packages like I mentioned earlier but the main thing here is the Hall of Fame quick First Step which is why we have a 89 ball handle as our Baseline you can also unlock a lot of animations at 90 ball handle as well and if you want you can always check all the animations and the requirements for free at nba2klab.com all you have to do is go to my player tools on the left hand side and then click the animation requirements and it's a super useful tool if you're ever making a build but next we have our speed with ball and at a minimum you want to have this at a 76 for the badge point a Michael Jordan dribble style but after playing with this rating for the past week I would honestly recommend bumping this to at least an 80 just to be a little bit quicker and also unlocks another play making badge point which you really can't have enough of when it comes to being quick the combination of speed with ball and acceleration is going to determine the speed at which you can dribble with the ball in your hand acceleration and quick first step is with want to help your initial speed boost but having more speed with ball will help your player not slow down as much after that initial boost so if you make your own version of this build just keep those things in mind now for our defensive category these stats aren't going to wow you at the Baseline but these attributes offer enough to help you get some stops in different ways and it also unlocks your tier 3 Badges and starting off we have a 55 interior which went up with our block rating so while it's not a focus for this build it costs next to nothing and then we unlock an extra badge point we went with an 80 perimeter defense which always just sounds like a good number that 80. but 80 perimeter defense unlocks a badge point and still offers decent lateral quickness and even out of 79 you unlock Silver Challenger which can give your player more effective contest when closing out now if you want it to be an even better Defender I would make sure to go to at least an 86 perimeter defense minimum for Gold Challenger and silver clamps to give more of a lockdown feel but at an 80 minimum you should still be able to hold your own if you wanted to focus and improve on other parts of your build for our steel rating we set it to a 78 for silver Interceptor and honestly since the Nerf the steel is that 85 rating for Silver glove isn't doing as well as it used to which makes this 78 even more valuable silver glove at 8 85 is a good threshold but you can still be very effective with a 78 which is why we have this as our Baseline next we have our block rating we're setting this to a 72 which unlocks a batch point but more importantly at 70 blocks we unlock bronze anchor in tier 2 which is the key to playing any type of interior defense we tested bronze anchor and it makes such a huge difference when contesting any type of shot or dunk in the paint and when we tested it we saw 16 reduction and make percentage against standing lips and also the average contest percentage went up by 16 as well this makes bronze anchor incredibly valuable on this build and not to mention at this rating you can still get really good blocks I've had a snatch block animation and some pretty good Chase Downs on this build just with this Baseline rating I personally love putting block on my builds and this Baseline rating can work very well now we're not going to touch rebounding for now as this Baseline build is geared more toward guard play as I mentioned but if you were to add some rebounding for a baseline I would go for at least a 59 which unlocks a badge point and since rebound Chaser is Tier 1 you can grab the occasional board over players who didn't invest in rebound rebounding doesn't cost too much so it may be worth it if you wanted to create an even more well-rounded build or even just give yourself few more defensive batch points but for me since this is a 6-6 I'll leave the rebounding to the taller players now lastly for our physicals we're going with an 80 speed which is solid but six sixes do have a speed cap of 91 so if you were to make a lock higher speed with that high combo can make for a pretty unique build the speed mainly affects op-ball movement so if you're not a lock and 80 should be more than enough in most situations then we have acceleration and it's set to an 85 for our Baseline but this is something I'm trying to max out if I can't I think the height and acceleration ratio for six six is actually really good when compared to taller builds so if you're the primary ball handler I would recommend maxing this all the way up to an 89 if you can now 85 should be fine but if I plan on scoring with the ball in my hand I want to be as fast as possible now defensive focused off ball player can lower this to around 75 or 80 and still be pretty quick so if it's not your main focus then this is something to consider for your build we're not touching strength here unless you're making a post build and want to back people down and we also don't put much stock into the bully badge so this is an attribute I don't mind skipping and then we went with a 60 vertical for the quick drops package and vertical in general is also going to help get certain types of blocks and rebounds so that's another thing to keep in mind now lastly we're going with a 95 stamina because stamina means a lot more than it has in previous years so it's great to have and it's pretty cheap still so I honestly wouldn't go any lower than that with this type of build and with that we have our Baseline build that can pretty much do everything with a lot of attributes left over to craft your own 66 into any playstyle now if you wanted to make a dominant slasher you can raise your driving dunk to a 93 which is the absolute most you'll need to be able to posterize anyone in your path this means raising your vertical to an 82 which is pretty costly but even then it still allows a good amount of room to upgrade the rest of your build we increased our close shot to give us enough badge points for our tier threes and we also unlock Silver fast switch as a nice luxury badge I put the perimeter defense to an 86 to get that Gold Challenger as I mentioned earlier and then we kept shooting at the Baseline and increased our spirit ball slightly this build setup right here is going to be able to have your gold tier 3S unlocked without spending any extra badge points now my personal recommendation is that you use those extra badge points for play making because your tier 2 badges will cost a lot and make up most of those points but with just 25 batch points though you can afford all of your tier twos at max level besides bronze bailout and still have enough to core a gold clamp breaker and then use the rest on silver handles for days but that's just my suggestion if those things don't matter to you feel free to spend them wherever you see fit as a side note though you can also go for an 86 driving dunk if you wanted to improve other parts on your build that 93 driving down does cost a lot but this gives you the pro contacts and you still get gold Limitless takeoff so if you're not going for gold posterizer and Elite contacts this is still a good threshold to be effective but you will see a noticeable increase in dunking success with that 93. now for our shooting variation of the 6'6 and this is actually the build that I made I went with a 610 wingspan to give me a 92 three-point rating for gold Limitless range I kept the Baseline finishing from the template and added the two extra batch points into finishing for my silver Limitless takeoff and when we set this to a 92 3-point rating it's also a double badge unlock threshold where I gain two badge points by default because of the mid-range as well which makes it an effective cutoff at this height it's giving me 24 shooting badges which is more than enough and with a double shooting cord pattern you can equip all four of your two or three badges if you want it now we basically kept our play making at the Baseline but increased the ball handle to a 92 for the Trae young and Curry side up Escape packages that means my 66 gets gold Limitless range and Curry slide which can make for a fun build and a great combo guard now I will say that the curry size up Escape is nice to have but the Trey young size of Escape is probably the better option in terms of dribbling and combos now I kept the Baseline defense and the physicals are roughly the same I did go one lower on the speed to fit everything else I wanted so I apologize for that now as I mentioned before if I were to remake this build again I'd probably look to increase the speed with ball but this is what I ended up making now if I wanted to remake this build as more of a true point guard it would look something like this I would definitely go for the 86 driving dunk for pro contacts and gold Limitless and then I bump up the shooting to an 85 3-point rating for that silver limits range just to be a little bit more effective from Deep range the 85 pass accuracy gives us faster passes and more pass dials and to help the slashing and just in general I'm increasing the speed with ball to an 83 which is also a badge Point threshold we can still have great defense with 86 perimeter and as a playmaker I'm maxing out accelerations and bumping the speed up just a little bit which will make this build an insanely well-rounded point guard since we didn't spend too much into our finishing don't forget that you'll need to add at least four batch points if you wanted to get gold Limitless takeoff I think that's well worth it if you like to dunk and then if you got any more badge points from hitting level 39 I'd recommend putting them into play making as there's a lot of badges you'll need there but this build is actually fire and this might be the most well-rounded point guard at this height and then lastly we have a lock build and since it's a log build we're taking away some play making beyond the Baseline to afford the badges we need to be a top tier lock we'll keep the Baseline finishing and shooting so we can get our quick drops in silver agent 3 but play making does take a hit and more specifically our ball handle but we'll still be able to create in a pinch even with this 75 rating you'll still unlock key animations like the LeBron size up Escape for the step back cheese and others so you can still be pretty effective and utilize that Asian three but in sacrificing the ball handle we're able to gain Hall of Fame clamps and Hall of Fame Challenger with gold glove and gold Interceptor which is obviously going to be the bread and butter of this build but with all those badges you need those badge points and as a 66 we'll have silver rebound Chaser to get those badge points and with that I decided to increase the verd as well to help on that end now if you wanted Hall of Fame glove instead of gold you can lower the rebound but you'll be sacrificed pricing a few badge points Hall of Fame Bluff still works really well and is very nice to have but be mindful of the badges you want and the points that you have now for the physicals you want speed as fast as you can get it especially in this row but I went to an 88 so I could get that rebound Chaser if I wanted to Max the speed I might lower the rebound as well which again be mindful of your badge points and figure out what you need now all of these builds are just different examples of things you can do with six sixes and I don't exactly expect you to copy these builds but I just wanted to give you an idea of different things to consider if you ever did decide to make a six six I tried to cover as much as I could I might have missed something and if I did feel free to ask any questions in the comments down below I probably overstayed my welcome by this point but hopefully you guys learned something it's Ben spell and I'm out later
