Basic Dribbling

Welcome to the Basic Dribbling tutorial by 2KLab and Koza. This page will teach you how to complete 8 basic dribble moves that every park or pro am ball handler should be able to complete. Practicing these moves until they come naturally to you without having to focus on the inputs is key here.

These moves should generally only require 1 or 2 very basic inputs, such as a simple flick or hold of the right stick down. You will want to be aware of the hand that the ball is in at all times as you attempt to do these moves. If you do not position the ball in the right hand before attempting the move you will not get the desired result.

We recommend you learn these 8 fundamental dribble moves before advancing to the next section. After learning how to do each move we will teach you how to use them to create 3s by chaining them together.

WE NEED TO RECOMMEND A LOCATION TO PRACTICE YOUR DRIBBLE MOVES

Step 6: Moving Spin

Learning this moving spin is another great way to keep your opponent guessing about whether you are driving or creating a 3.

Step 7: Moving Hesitation
