what is good everybody it is Spill here and welcome back to the NBA 2K lab channel in this video we're going to be taking a look at hot zones burst cold zones and we're also going to take a look at the brand new lethal zones in NBA 2k 24. hot and cold zones didn't have too much of an impact in previous 2ks but this year I think that changes I think you'll be very surprised at the results but before we get started if you're new to the channel be sure to subscribe and without further Ado let's get right into it [Music] in previous 2ks it was cool to have hot zones but they provided only a minimal boost which is most likely unnoticeable in 2k23 you can see by this graph here that the Boost was pretty much negligible and only really appeared at the edges of the green window for about five milliseconds apiece this graph shows how easy it was to ignore your hot and cold zones but it looks like they're putting a lot more emphasis on those this year in 2K 24 they've introduced lethal zones which provide the biggest boost to your make percentage when taking shots in that area before we get into the brand new lethal zones though let's take a look at hot zones versus cold zones in 2K 24. for this test we took 200 shots at each timing throughout the green window for cold neutral hot and lethal zones for a total of 7 200 shots now off the bat you can clearly see these zones have an impact on your shot success at the center of the green window there's about a five percent increase to your make percentage in a Hot Zone when compared to your neutral zone on the flip side though the cold Zone shows a two to three percent decrease in make percentage in the center of the green window the early edges on this chart show a decent boost or decrease but where it gets crazy is at the later edges of the green window if we look at the bottom of the graph at 680 milliseconds you can see the cold Zone shows a make percentage of 20 at that same exact timing The Hot Zone shows a make percentage of roughly 65 percent which compared to the cold zone is a 45 increase what this tells us is that these hot zones are essentially expanding the effective green window so long story short you'll want these hot zones as they seem to matter more than ever this year but the video isn't done yet now if you thought hot zones were good then just wait until you see these lethal zones these zones can increase your effective green window by another 10 milliseconds more than hot zones and even more effectively with green window sizes being smaller than they were in 2k23 acquiring these hot and lethal zones can make it much easier to hit a perfect release if you take a look at the 685th millisecond on this chart even The Hot Zone has a make percentage of less than 30 percent but that same exact timing in the lethal Zone shows a make percentage of about 60 percent which is over a 30 percent increase which goes to show how important these zones are lethal zones can be tough to get as you have to shoot very well from that specific Zone but the Boost is definitely worth it there's also an easy way to acquire hot or lethal zones and you can get rid of your cold zones by just going to the art of shooting gym and practicing some drills in there which you can even select which zone you want to improve now that is all we got for this Hot Zone verse code Zone video If this video helped you guys or you learned something from it be sure to drop a like it's been spill and I'm out later
